  • When is the deadline to apply?

    ETSU has rolling admission. You should consider scholarship and financial aid deadlines and apply in time to participate in orientation and advisem*nt.

  • How Do I Submit My Transcripts & Test Scores?

    Request that an official copy (sealed, unopened version) of your transcript be sent directly to

    • High school transcript: Contact your school counseling office.
    • Community college/university transcript: Contact the institution’s records or registrar office.
    • AP/SAT/ACT: Log into your CollegeBoard or ACT student profile. Designate ETSU as the recipient.

    All scores should be sent to:

    *NOTE: ETSU does not accept faxed or emailed transcripts from students as official documents. Emailed transcripts must come from the reporting institution and sent directly to documents@etsu.edu. Electronic transcripts may also be received through an approved electronic transcript service.

    Transcripts sent through the Parchment electronic transcript service should designate documents@etsu.edu as the recipient.

  • I Haven't Heard Anything Back After Applying. What Do I Do?

    Call 423-439-4213 or email admissions@etsu.edu to check on your application status! We will always send communication to applicants to let them know their application was received, and whether any missing documents need to be submitted. If you have not heard anything at all, it is most likely that your $25 application fee has not been received, which prevents your application from being electronically processed. Please contact us for assistance.

  • How Do I Check My Application Status?

    Once we have received your application, an ETSU username and ID will be emailed to you so you may monitor the status of your application as it goes through the review process. To view your status please visit, https://www.etsu.edu/activate. You may also call 423-439-4213 or email admissions@etsu.edu or contact your designated admission counselor for more information here.

  • What Are The Admission Requirements?

    Freshman applicants must have a 2.3 GPA or a 19 ACT/ 980 SAT. The average incoming freshman has a 3.5 GPA and a 23 ACT. Complete freshman admission requirements are listed here:

    Admission requirements for transfer students vary by the number of attempted credit hours earned. Complete transfer admission requirements are here:

  • What Is The Process For Taking Classes At One Of ETSU's Satellite Campuses?

    Students who wish to attend classes at one of ETSU’s satellite campuses will apply as normal. When you are at the point of registering for classes with your academic advisor, you will select courses offered at your desired campus site.

  • What Is The Process For Taking Classes Online?

    Students who wish to take online classes will apply as normal. When you are at the point of registering for classes with your academic advisor, you will select courses offered online. You can select “WEB” as “method of instruction” when using the GoldLink ‘Look Up Classes’ tool.

  • How Will My Courses Transfer?

    Visit Transfer Works to develop an unofficial transfer evaluation. Use the Transfer Equivalencies Tool to view how courses from previous institutions will transfer to ETSU. Upon being admitted to ETSU, transfer students will have an official transfer articulation evaluation completed for them.

  • If I am denied admission, how do I appeal my admission decision?

    In limited cases, students who may have had extenuating circ*mstances surrounding their academic performance may appeal the decision if they are denied admission. To find out if you could be a candidate for appeal, you may visit this website.
