Tampa is densely populated, with 3,376.4 people per square mile. The city itself is composed of just over 114 square miles.

Tampa is home to nearly 400,000 people. In 2022, the estimated population of Tampa was 398,173 people. That represents an increase of 3.5% from 384,661 people in 2020. If you’re looking to sell a house - or to become a property investor - in Tampa, this population increase is great news.

Tampa is an educational hub. Hillsborough County is the 8th largest school district in the nation and the largest employer in the area. It is also home to the University of South Florida - the second-largest public university in Florida - and the University of Tampa.
