The Standard 53′ Semi-Trailer Dimensions The average dimensions for a 53′ semi-trailer are a 53′ length, a 102″ width, a door height of 110″, and a total height of 13'6″. These are the largest dimensions a trailer can come in before an oversized load. Anything larger would require additional permits to transport legally. displacement utilizing bulkheads, airbags, saddlebags etc.

boxes into the trailer.
g. You will be using CHEP pallets (48"x40"x6" & 60 lbs each) to load your products
on before loading the trailer. How many pallets will fit into the trailer?
h. Using cartons that measure 12-inch x 12-inch x 12-inch (L x W x H), how many
cartons of product can you fit onto each pallet?
i. How many cartons can you fit into the trailer without overhanging the sides of the
pallets (No loose cartons are permitted)?
j. If the maximum total weight of product that can be carried inside the trailer is
41446 lbs, and assuming that all cartons weigh the same, what is the maximum
weight in pounds of each carton (rounded down to the nearest pound)?
k. How will the total weight of the shipment be impacted during spring thaw season
in Quebec BASED ON 2022 LIMITS (rounded down to the nearest pound)?
