During season three of the hit TV show Hell’s Kitchen™, SHOES FOR CREWS® protected the competing chefs from slips and falls.

Season 3 of Hell’s Kitchen™ has come to a fiery conclusion: the winner is Rock! After 11 challenging episodes, Rock proved he has what it takes to be a leader and run a kitchen.

Episode 11 gets going with continuing construction of the redesigned two halves of the dining room. With only thirty minutes left until dinner service, the workers scramble to complete the redesign project.

The two teams get prepping with Bonnie and Rock leading their teams. Bonnie deals with a little attitude from Julia and Rock tries to encourage Josh to trust himself.

Chef Ramsay takes a few moments with Bonnie and Rock to review their new dining room concepts. He likes Bonnie’s concept and considered it relaxing, clean and elegant. Chef said Rock’s design is “elegant…rich and sumptuous.”

Just before opening for the final dinner service, Rock and Bonnie pump up their teams. They both want to keep the energy high and ask for honesty if something gets messed up.

Dinner orders start coming in and things get cranking quickly. Josh was working the appetizer station and started burning crab cakes and making the kinds of mistakes that got him kicked off the show in episode 8.

After some struggling to get the appetizers out, the service gets moving into entrees. Melissa alerts Bonnie that there is not enough fettuccini pasta left, which is upsetting because that’s her signature dish. She accepts responsibility for being under-prepped. Three hours into dinner service, Rock’s team is “Rocking” out their dishes. Bonnie gets more attitude from Julia as they try to finish up desserts.

Service is completed and Rock states that Josh really messed up and hurt his chances of winning. Bonnie thanks the women for their hard work. With the restaurant closed, Chef Ramsay is faced with the difficult decision of picking the winner. After studying the customer comment cards for some extra insight into their performance, he meets with the two finalists in his office. He says Bonnie has surprised him the most with her assertiveness and compliments her. He then calls Rock “rock solid” and points out that there’s safety in having him run a kitchen.

Bonnie and Rock are then asked to stand in front of their own doors. Only the winner’s door will open at the count of 3. They grasp the handles and Rock’s door opens to Hell’s Kitchen where his family and the other chefs applaud and congratulate him. A new door is opened for Rock and his family as he’ll now enjoy a $250,000 salary with profit sharing as the head chef at the Green Valley Ranch resort in Las Vegas!

The competition heats up when Chef Ramsay starts off the episode by explaining that Bonnie and Rock will each run their own half of the Hell’s Kitchen restaurant. Later Rock and Bonnie celebrate that they’ve made it this far and sip some champagne.

The next morning Bonnie and Rock plan what they’ll do with their side of the restaurant. They each meet with the Hell’s Kitchen architect and designer. They also plan employee uniforms and the menu.

Chef surprises Bonnie and Rock with a trip to Vegas on the private jet. There they go to the Green Valley Ranch Resort. The marquee there welcomes them and reads “Congratulations Hell’s Kitchen Finalists.” That night Chef takes them to a surprise party where they are put on stage in front of the best chefs in Las Vegas, which brings them to their next challenge. They will have thirty minutes to prepare a dish with their signature style and will be judged by some of these famous chefs.

Rock made his surf and turf with fried chicken and crab cakes. Bonnie prepared her shrimp and lobster pasta. Bonnie wins this challenge by getting votes from the executive chef at Ceasar’s Palace, Robin Leach, and both the general manager and executive chef of Green Valley Ranch.

After returning to Los Angeles, Bonnie and Rock are surprised when the last six eliminated contestants return to participate in the next challenge. They are split into two teams. Bonnie and Rock will each lead their own team with their half of the restaurant running to their own specifications.

Both chefs want to win and they will do anything to get there. Check out the final episode on Monday, August 13 at 9/8c and see who will be the next winner of Hell’s Kitchen™!

The 9th episode started with the final three contestants, Bonnie, Jen and Rock, each cooking their own unique versions of comfort food. Chef Ramsay asks these determined chefs to improve an American classic for fine dining. Each chef randomly picks a classic dish to work with for this challenge and gets to work in the kitchen. When the time is up, Chef introduces some surprise judges to help him pick one of the three dishes as the winner of the challenge – the mothers of all three finalists.

The mothers didn’t know which chef created each dish. Jen’s dish won the vote for all three mothers. As her reward, Chef Ramsay took his own mother along with Jen and her mom out to lunch at The Lodge restaurant in Beverly Hills. Jen is pleased to spend some important time with Chef Ramsay.

The next morning, the chefs get ready for their most important dinner service yet. Each will get a turn to expedite orders between the kitchen and the waiters. Chef advises them that this is where their ability to lead the kitchen will be tested. Chef Ramsay prepares each of them by giving them a chance to get aggressive and pretend to scorn him for something he has done wrong in the kitchen. This was an odd turn of the tables because usually Chef Ramsay is the one doing the yelling!

The evening’s service begins and Chef calls out the first order. The three worked really well together and were sending out perfect dishes. The sous chefs are assigned to help out in the kitchen and intentionally send dishes with mistakes to the line to test each contestant’s ability for quality control. Jen failed her first test but quickly sharpened her lookout for any more mistakes. Bonnie and Rock did a great job detecting mistakes.

After the restaurant closes Chef is pleased with the service and commends the three on the best night yet in Hell’s Kitchen. Chef gives each contestant a chance to state why they should be allowed to stay in Hell’s Kitchen and advance to the final episode. After a very tough decision, Ramsay sends home Jen, a 26 year-old pastry chef from Hazelton, Pennsylvania. Chef Ramsay encourages Jen not to stop cooking and that she has nothing to be ashamed of.

Then Chef brings out more surprise guests for an emotional reunion – Rock’s wife and Bonnie’s parents. Chef tells Rock and Bonnie that their biggest challenge is ahead of them in the final episode. Suddenly a screen falls from the ceiling dividing the dining room into two halves.

Tune in with us next week for the exciting final episode and conclusion of this season of Hell’s Kitchen™! Who will win a quarter of a million dollar salary as head chef of the restaurant at the Green Valley Resort in Las Vegas, plus take a share in the restaurant's profits? Watch and see!

This episode starts off in the morning with Chef Ramsay combining the remaining five contestants to one team. They will now be judged on their individual efforts.

Chef proposes the next challenge – creating individual dishes for “trendsetters.” The chef’s minds start imagining who these trendsetters might be – movie stars, famous chefs, food critics, etc. It turns out the Chefs will have one hour to cook for 100 students at Alhambra High School. The winner gets to go with Chef Ramsay to visit the Green Valley Ranch in Las Vegas.

Rock made a kobe beef meatloaf on a ciabatta roll. Josh baked salmon with pineapple salsa. Julia prepared grilled chicken and cheese sandwich with onion rings. Bonnie served fried goat cheese over salad. Lastly, Jen made baked chicken fettuccini with lemon chive butter sauce. Julia easily wins this challenge with 51% of the students’ votes.

Julia picks Jen to go with her and Chef Ramsay on a private jet to Vegas where they are treated to a huge hotel suite at Green Valley Ranch and massages at the spa. Then they go visit Heather, a previous Hell’s Kitchen winner, at her Terra Rosa restaurant. Heather gives them competitive tips for winning.

The next challenge is dinner service in the Hell’s Kitchen restaurant. Josh start pumping out appetizers and spaghetti that hasn’t even been ordered yet. Even after getting yelled at by Chef, he does it again and gets kicked out of the kitchen for good.

The four remaining chefs are left to finish up dinner. This ended up being the only dinner service the contestants actually completing without Chef Ramsay having to shut down the kitchen. With the intensity of competition stressing them out, they weren’t working well as a team and kept arguing.

Chef commended Bonnie on her best performance yet and asked her to pick two choices for elimination. She picked Julia and Jen. After a lot of thought on this tough decision, Chef eliminated Julia, a 26 year-old short-order cook from Atlanta, Georgia. He tells her she has done exceptionally well and will personally send her to culinary school.

Chef tells the final three that the competition is about to get even tougher. So, tune in with us next week to see who’s next on the chopping block. Take a close look at the chef’s feet because they’re wearing SHOES FOR CREWS® - The Best Defense Against Slips & Falls! You won’t see any slips on Hell’s Kitchen™!

Chef Ramsay starts this episode in the morning by challenging the teams to create one appetizer and two entrees from leftovers in less than 30 minutes. After a quick cooking session, Bonnie and Brad presented their appetizers. Brad had a nice curried bass and Bonnie served a rustic tomato chicken stew. Chef liked both dishes and gave one point to each team.

Jen dished up her steak and eggs, which Chef was not impressed with. Josh offered his stuffed chicken leg, but Chef was quickly grossed out by the acidic sauce on it and noted the chicken wasn’t cooked all the way. Chef gave no points to either team on this round.

Next is Rock’s surf and turf, which Chef Ramsay commends. Then comes Julia’s fried sea bass with fries, which Chef thought was nice, but pointed out it was simply fish and chips. Rock gets the point giving the Blue Team a win for this challenge. The men are treated to a chance of getting back at Chef by shooting at him on a paintball field.

On the next day, Chef gives the next challenge: both teams are to create the menus for the evening’s dinner service in the Hell’s Kitchen restaurant. Brad dominated the choices for the men’s menu, and the women struggle with their menu and worry that Julia, a Waffle House cook, isn’t familiar enough with fine cuisine.

Chef reviews the menus and notes that the Blue Team’s menu is ambitious. Chef asks Julia what she contributed to the Red Team’s menu. She said she would have put steak and shrimp on the menu, but her team members didn’t like the simple idea. Chef adds Julia’s steak and shrimp, which ended up being the best seller on the menu. After dinner service Chef also complimented Julia for her consistency.

Bonnie and Brad were nominated for elimination. Chef chose Brad, a 25 year-old sous chef from Scottsdale, Arizona, to leave Hell’s Kitchen. Chef closes by saying “To be successful as an individual, you have to be successful as a teammate first.” Like the contestants on Hell’s Kitchen, be a member or our “Safety Team” and protect yourself in the kitchen with SHOES FOR CREWS® Slip-Resistant Footwear!

Episode 6 starts off with a challenge of picking live lobsters out of a tank, which they’re supposed to use to come up with creative ways to cook them in one hour. The Red Team starts off on shaky ground because Julie has never eaten lobster and Bonnie is afraid to boil and kill them. But after an hour they both had overcome and served up great dishes.

Overall Chef Ramsay was impressed with most of the dishes – a rare occurrence. Bonnie made a grilled lobster salad with baked apples. Melissa served a citrus herb salad with poached lobster. Julia cooked the standard risotto she was familiar with and added lobster. Rock came up with a creative buttermilk fried lobster tail. Next up was Jen’s lobster and crab bisque. And finally was Brad’s lobster bisque with chantilly. Chef chooses Jen’s bisque as the best, giving the Red Team victory for this challenge.

For winning the challenge, the women were treated to a glamorous photo shoot and interview with InTouch Weekly magazine. The men were left to pick out recyclables out of the restaurant’s garbage, which caused Rock to get the angriest we’ve seen him yet.

The next challenge is another dinner service. The teams start prepping, and the Blue Team feels that having four people against the Red Team’s three people will give them an advantage. When the kitchen opened for dinner, the women starting getting their appetizers out in good time while the men’s service starting falling behind leaving some customers hungry and anxious to get their food.

The Blue Team made several simple mistakes that added up on them, such as overcooking risotto and dishing out unsalted mashed potatoes. A whole table of guests sent all of the Blue Team’s dishes back to the kitchen. Chef Ramsay’s patience ended and he shut down the kitchen.

Without hesitation, Chef tells Melissa, a 29 year-old line cook, to turn in her chef jacket and sends her home to New York. Now it’s down to three guys against three girls. Chef tries to pump them up and tells them to “GET A GRIP!” This is a phrase we often tell our customers because that’s exactly what our shoes do!

Episode 5 starts off with the men vowing to work like a team. First thing in the morning, the chefs hop into the Hell’s Kitchen SUVs and meet Chef Ramsay at a supermarket. They are told that they are going to cater a wedding reception. With a budget of $100 and only 30 minutes to shop, they are instructed to gather ingredients that they’ll use to create sample meals for the bride and groom to taste.

When they get back to the restaurant, each team only has one hour to prepare a sample appetizer, fish entree entrée and meat entrée to be judged by the bride and groom. First the appetizers are served and the men’s crab dish wins. Next up, the fish entrée is served and the couple chooses the women’s sea bass with collard greens cured in bacon.

Lastly, it’s time for the meat dish. The women were reluctant to serve theirs. This upset Chef and he urged them to serve their dish immediately. The women set the dish down and revealed a sad looking dry duck alone on the plate. Rock from the men’s team proudly puts down his rib eye steak, which the couple chooses. Chef dismisses the Red Team and congratulates the Blue Team and send them off for a relaxing day at the spa.

On the next day, the chefs start cooking for the wedding. The women have a tough time getting started and ruin a couple batches of potatoes. Nobody can eat until the bride and groom are served, which is delayed of course. After the hectic dinner, Chef Ramsay declares the Red Team the winner because the men finished three minutes ahead of the women.

Jen nominates Melissa and Bonnie for elimination. Chef orders Melissa to turn in her chef jacket, but puts a great twist in the show by sending her over to the men’s team. She’s given another chance to prove herself, only she now has to cooperate with the men.

The differences between the contestants are really starting to show. But one common thing among them is that they are safe wearing SHOES FOR CREWS® slip-resistant footwear. In Episode 4, Chef Ramsay subjected the remaining contestants to another round of unexpected challenges. Each episode seems to get more intense as Chef turns up the heat and expects more effort from the eager and exhausted line-up of chefs.

The show quickly jumps into a blindfolded taste test challenge of the Red Team against the Blue Team. Chef says they are not tasting their dishes. This challenge was designed to help them test their palettes. The women won this challenge. As further motivation to develop their taste, Ramsay had Sous Chef Scott serve the boys disgusting plates of pickled palm leaf, grass jelly, cream herring, pickled herring, calves liver, trotters, pig tongue and cow tongue while the women enjoyed a unique dining experience in the dark with Chef Ramsay at a restaurant called Opaque.

The next challenge was another dinner service to customers in the Hell’s Kitchen restaurant. The winning team will be decided based on the feedback received from the customer comment cards. Dinner service gets off to a familiar unorganized start. Josh delivers a rushed undercooked risotto appetizer. Julia overcooks her scallops. Vinnie overcooked his Beef Wellingtons and ends up throwing out six of them and a chicken. He also made raw pastry on the Wellingtons. Bonnie and Melissa got confused with timing entrees in the oven and get out of synch with delivering the overdue dishes.

Now that the women have served 28 entrees and the men have served 21, several unsatisfied customers started complaining and sending dishes back to the kitchen. Chef Ramsay got both teams together and said he would shut down the kitchen if anymore guests complained. One more chicken dish was returned by a customer and Chef shut down the kitchen.

Chef announces that the customers were satisfied with most of the food served. However, over 65% of them would not return because the food took too long to get to the table. “Your restaurant would fail with those numbers,” Chef explains. He then declares that both teams have lost this challenge. Due to the number of errors produced by Vinnie, a 29 year-old night club chef from Milltown, NJ, he is sent home.

There’s a reason it’s not called “Heaven’s Kitchen!” Chef Gordon Ramsay’s intense work environment is not for the faint of heart. The culinary chaos of Hell’s Kitchen™ Episode 3 proved to be too much for Aaron, a Retirement Home Chef from Palos Verdes, CA. He gave the whole crew a big scare when he passed out in the kitchen and ended up in the hospital. For fear of any further health issues, the doctors would not let Aaron return to the kitchen, giving him an early departure in this episode.

A highlight of the show was when Chef surprised the tired team members early in the morning with making them cook breakfast for the U.S. Army and Navy. Julia’s experience as a breakfast cook led the Red Team into a strong start for this breakfast session. As usual, it took a long time to bring order to the kitchen and the hungry officers waited a long time for food service.

After the women finished their last service, Chef commends Julia for her leadership and sends her over to lead the men to complete their service. Chef was impressed with her ability to lead both teams during this spontaneous breakfast service challenge. The women won this challenge and were rewarded with a helicopter ride to the USS Midway aircraft carrier in San Diego, while the men were stuck with peeling potatoes and onions!

The evening’s challenge was serving dinner to another round of customers. Beef Wellingtons were overdone, it took over an hour get the risotto out, and Jen even pulled a batch of spaghetti that she had just thrown into the garbage back out to serve! 95% of the women’s customers never received their meals, and most of the customers starting walking out.

Chef Ramsay declared the Red Team the losers, and resulted in Joanna, a Chef’s Assistant from Detroit, MI, was sent home.

Tune in next week to see Chef Ramsay test the contestants’ will to succeed. Even though they’re feeling the heat of Hell’s Kitchen™, at least their feet are comfortable in SHOES FOR CREWS® footwear!

In Episode 2, Chef Ramsay served extra portions of terror and tears to the remaining 11 contestants. It started with sous chefs Scott and MaryAnn waking up the contestants early in the morning and taking a trip to the restaurant where Chef roasted them for wasting too much food on opening night. Then they took a “fishing trip” where they had fish thrown at them, which they were supposed to catch and bring back to the kitchen for a fish-cleaning contest.

Once again Aaron showed that the pressure was too much for him and almost quit. The stress brought him to tears and gave him some dizzy spells, but he regrouped himself after some pep talk from Chef Ramsay and his teammates.

The Blue Team couldn’t seem to do anything right during the course of preparing this episode’s dinner. As usual, Chef Ramsay chopped up the egos of these aspiring chefs by dishing out more harsh language and spitting out food that did not satisfy his taste. After several disappointments from the men, Chef dismissed them from the kitchen and let the women finish up dinner service. He commended the women for their good work.

The episode ends with Eddie being dismissed, mainly because of not being able to come out of his shell and stick up for himself. Aaron is shocked that he wasn’t cut from the team.

Shoes For Crews is looking forward to the next intense episode of Hell’s Kitchen™ to see who will be eliminated next. It’s a thrill for us to know the contestants are safe wearing Shoes For Crews slip-resistant footwear - even in Hell’s Kitchen™!
