Absolut Vodka is a Swedish vodka, produced in the village of Åhus in southern Sweden, from Swedish winter wheat.
Absolut Vodka and flavoured do not contain any animal products and no such products are used in the production process. We do not use any animal derivatives, either directly in the product itself, or to filter the product.
We do not add animal derivatives into our products, however, one of our sugar suppliers uses a process that is not considered vegan-friendly. While this is a common practice in the sugar industry, it unfortunately also means that at least one component of our process may not be suitable for a vegan diet.
For our flavored vodkas (e.g. Absolut Citron) it is impossible for us to fully guarantee that flavored ingredients haven’t come in contact with any trace of allergens during the suppliers’ production processes.
HOWEVER…
We DO require ALLERGEN-FREE documentation (based on Regulation (EU) 1169/2011) from all flavor suppliers. We DO NOT use any flavors where ALLERGENS (e.g. wheat) are declared. Based on this supplier information, our VODKAS ARE ALLERGEN FREE.
All 80 proof vodka freezes at a temperature of -24ºc (-11.2ºF). Sometimes the freezer is a little bit colder than this and it may actually freeze. It’s still the same Absolut quality when it’s melted, just shake the bottle gently.
Absolut Vodka is 100% delicious with 0% (that’s Z-E-R-O) sugar, carbs, proteins, or fat.
The same can be said for our flavored vodkas, made only of natural ingredients from berries, fruits, and spices with Z-E-R-O sugar added. Sweet!
The Absolut Vodka is laser marked, with a LOT-code (light grey marking), placed horizontally, ca 10 mm from the bottom. The height of letters and figures in the code are ca 2-3mm.
You can also find a black inkjet 5-digit code printed onto the plastic shrink-wrap (over cap and neck of bottle).

In 1879, Lars Olsson Smith introduced continuous distillation to Sweden, with which he made Absolut Rent Brännvin. Instead of the usual three or four times, the vodka was distilled an infinite number of times. Absolut is produced in Åhus, L.O. Smith’s birthplace, where the wheat used for making our vodka is grown.

Again, proper storage plays a crucial role here: Keep it Sealed: Always ensure the cap is tightly closed after each use.Avoid Sunlight and Heat: Store the bottle in a cool, dark place.
